Career Highlights: Began career at Sunshine Speedway in Florida; began racing in New England
and Canada with father C.A. Crouch in 1972; charter member of 1970s "Mod Squad" - a trio of extremely talented (and
longhaired) young racers in New England - group made up of Crouch, John Rosati, and Joey Kourafas; moved to Vermont to stay
in mid-1970s, married school teacher Jane Abraham; won NASCAR North/ACT Tour championship a record six times; won 77 NASCAR
North/ACT races from 1980 to 1992, including 11 in 1988; Oxford Open Series champion, 1986; finished 3rd in All-American 400
at Nashville, TN behind Darrell Waltrip and Mark Martin; raced limited schedule on NASCAR Busch Grand National North Series
(now Camping World East Series) from 1988 to 1992, raced full-time on series from 1993 until sudden retirement in
August 1997, won 8 total races; made one Craftsman Truck Series start at NHIS in 1997; raced handful of events in NASCAR Busch
Series, including Daytona in 1986 with owner Lenny Boehler; Don MacTavish Award winner in 1988; inducted into NEAR Hall of
Fame in 2006 by long-time car owner Glen Wright; announced return to ACT racing in 2007 with car owner David Storey, diagnosed
with prostate cancer two months later; returned to driver's seat at 2007 Oxford 250, earned Top 10 finish in ACT Late Model
Tour event at White Mountain Motorsports Park; scored an extremely popular 50-lap weekly Late Model win at Thunder Road
on July 25, 2008
